Guillaume Gombault is a contemporary artist whose work navigates the intersection of imagination and reality. From a young age, he was drawn to imaginary worlds—places just out of reach, yet vividly present in the mind. These inner landscapes first took shape in drawings and later evolved into painting.

After a detour through architecture, where structure and logic were central, Gombault returned to a more intuitive and expressive practice. Traveling through unknown environments reawakened his creative energy, leading to a renewed focus on world-building—not physically, but visually and conceptually.

His work reflects fragments of emotion, memory, and observation, exploring the tension between the organic and the digital, the imagined and the imposed. Each painting functions as a window into a parallel universe: intimate and shared simultaneously.

With his practice, Gombault invites the viewer into what he describes as “the bubble”: an autonomous reality shaped by perception, emotion, and imagination.
