Largely self-taught, Julie Rovira has been immersed in art since childhood – a true family tradition, stemming from a lineage of artists. Her passion for painting emerged at a very young age, when she quickly discovered the freedom of expression that painting offers.

Born in Martigues (Bouches-du-Rhône) in 1994, Julie moved to the Pyrénées-Orientales region at the age of fourteen. Feeling constrained by the conformity of the school system, her mind was already wandering towards creative worlds, and the artistic future that would later become hers slowly began to take shape.

When the time came to sign her first canvas, she searched for a pseudonym. She chose "Pitu" – the very first word she had ever uttered. This childhood nickname eventually grew into her artist's name.
