“Life Lines”: Solo Exhibition by Montana Engels

About the event

Montana Engels is a Belgian artist from Antwerp who has given classical portrait painting a completely new twist. Her work blends strength and emotion with a distinctive, recognizable visual language: the “STRIPED” concept. This innovative style, in which she builds figures using abstract horizontal strokes, reflects her personal view on identity, layering, and connection.

After previous exhibitions in cities like Paris, London, and Amsterdam, Montana returns to her hometown for a new solo exhibition: “Life Lines.” This entirely new, hand-painted collection features one-of-a-kind pieces (1/1), inspired by nature, the sea, and her own creative process. Expect a meditative journey through forms, textures, and colors that seem to flow straight from nature – always marked by Montana’s unmistakable signature style.

The exhibition runs from Friday, May 9th until Sunday, June 8th at Vision XR Gallery on the Vlaamsekaai in Antwerp.
