Alec Monopoly

Alec Monopoly

Alec Monopoly is an American street and pop artist known for his colourful and playful works in which he uses the character “Rich Uncle Pennybags” (the Monopoly man) as a symbol of wealth, power and society. His style combines graffiti, pop culture and satire, with references to figures such as Scrooge McDuck, Mr. Monopoly and icons of wealth from the media world. Alec started out as a street artist in New York, but has grown into an internationally recognised artist with exhibitions in Miami, Los Angeles, London and Dubai. He often works with spray paint on canvas, sculptures and banknotes, and his art appeals to both collectors and celebrities with its mix of luxury lifestyle and social criticism.
